Definitions & Agreement

These Terms & Policies ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you ("Customer") and Elysian Detailing LLC ("Company", "we", "us"). By booking or accepting our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and fully agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of confirmation from the Company. Cancellation and rescheduling fees apply as follows:

• Cancel >48 hours before appointment: No fee.
• Cancel 24–48 hours before appointment: 25% of service price.
• Same-day cancellation or no-show: 50% of service price.

2. Pre-Existing Condition & Inherent Risks

Customer acknowledges that automotive detailing involves the use of specialized chemicals, high-pressure water, and friction, which carry inherent risks to vehicle surfaces, particularly older, degraded, or previously damaged materials. The Company is not responsible for pre-existing conditions that may become apparent or worsen during the detailing process, including but not limited to:

• Paint & Clear Coat: Company is not responsible for peeling clear coat, flaking paint, or oxidation that becomes visible or worsens during the standard detailing process.
• Interior Components: Company is not responsible for peeling window tint, degraded leather, loose headliners, or brittle plastic trim that fails during standard cleaning.
• Electronics: Customer is responsible for notifying Company of any exposed wiring or aftermarket electronics. Company is not liable for water or moisture damage to unsealed components.

3. Personal Property Waiver

Customers must remove all personal property, valuables, and car seats prior to service. Elysian Detailing LLC is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or misplaced personal items left inside the vehicle under any circumstances. For liability reasons, Company will not remove or install child car seats.

4. Access & Safe Working Conditions

Customer must provide a safe, legal area for Company vehicles to park and perform work. Company reserves the right to refuse service if the location is deemed unsafe, hazardous, or in violation of local ordinances. If weather prevents safe performance, Company will reschedule at no charge.

5. Media Release & Promotional Use

Company routinely photographs and records video of vehicles before, during, and after services for quality control and marketing purposes. By booking our services, Customer grants Elysian Detailing LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, publish, and distribute these photos and videos for advertising, social media, website content, publications, and other promotional purposes. Company agrees to make reasonable efforts to obscure license plates upon request.

6. Limitation of Liability & Hold Harmless

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: By using our services, Customer agrees to hold Elysian Detailing LLC, its owners, and employees harmless from any and all claims, demands, or damage arising from the detailing process, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELYSIAN DETAILING LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. COMPANY’S TOTAL MAXIMUM LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGE, OR LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL DOLLAR AMOUNT PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE PROVIDED.

7. Notice of Claims Procedure

Customer must inspect the vehicle upon completion of the service. Any claims regarding service quality or alleged damage must be reported to the Company in writing within 24 hours of service completion, and Company must be given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle. Failure to notify Company within 24 hours constitutes a complete waiver of any claims.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state courts located in Cook County, Illinois. If any provision of these Terms is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
